خلاصه داستان : داستان درمورد زوج تازه ازدواج کرده ای هست (مارلا و مارک) که وضع مالی خوبی ندارند و تصمیم میگیرند برای یکدیگر در مراسم کریسمس هدیه ای گران قیمت تهیه کنند. فیلم به از خودگذشتگی و فداکاریهای این دو زوج در برآورده کردن نیازهای دیگری در این مسیر می پردازد.
